ANG PAGPILI SANG INSAKTO
Daw isa ka daku nga kontradiksyon subong ang mga pulong sang aton Ginoong Jesukristo sa aton Ebanghelyo nahanungud sa misyon nga Iya ginabantala sa mga katawohan. Daw isa ka daku nga kontradiksyon ang gintagna sa Iya sang mga propeta sa daan nga kasugtanan nga ang Mesias mangin prinsipe sang paghida-it kag magatipon sang Iya mga panong sa idalum sang Isa ka Manugbantay.
Apang maathag kaayo subong ang mga pulong sang aton Ginoo nga wala Siya magkari sa kalibutan agud sa pagdala sing paghida-it kundi sang PAGBINAHIN-BAHIN. Paano naton mapasanto ini sa isa ka Mesias nga ginasiling nga Prisipe sang Paghida-it?
Sa pagkamatuod, WALA SING KONPLIKTO ang mga ginahala subong sang aton Ginoo sa kaangtanan sang Iya nga misyon. Matuod nga Siya magadala sing paghida-it sa aton tunga, apang ini nga paghida-it indi maangkon paagi sa pagpabilin nga ‘buta-bungol’ sa mga kasaypanan nga nagapalibut sa aton. Ini nga paghida-it nagagikan sa aton hilway nga pagpili, sa diin si Kristo amo ang mangin basehan ukon sadsaran sang tanan. Diri nagasulod ang isyu nahanungud sa aton pagpanaksi sa aton kabuhi sang kabuhi sang aton Ginoong Jesus.
May hulubaton kita nga nagasiling: “Mahapos ang mangin Kristiyano; mabudlay ang magpaka-Kristiyano”. Amo ini ang buot silingon sang ginahambal subong sang aton Ginoo. Sa aton pagpili sa Iya bilang basehan sang aton kabuhi, madamo kita sang mga upang kag mga pagpamalabag nga masumalang, kag masami, ini amo ang aton mga su-od nga mga kakilala ukon aton mismo nga kapamilya.
Masami sa aton pagpili sang insakto, madamo kita sang natatapakan nga nagapanago sa kabutigan. Kon ka-isa sila mga miembro sang aton mga pamilya, kag ini nagadala sang mga masakit nga mga balatyagon… dumut… huya… kag sa katapusan, PAGBINAHIN-BAHIN! Siling sang isa ka pari:
“Christianity is loyalty. It is not a theory or an ideology, but it is a faith in the person of Jesus Christ who is the Son of God. It is the imitation of His life, teachings and sacrifice on the cross. Our faith is not like a dress that if we don’t like it anymore we give it to somebody or through it away. Faith is a way of life; it is our own identification card that we constantly profess in our lives.
Are we loyal to Jesus? Just like Jesus who denounced all the evils in the society during His time, we too must denounce. But what happen? When someone especially, especially church leaders, speaks of injustice, graft and corruption in the government and even in the church, poverty, unequal distribution of wealth and many others, we say that priests should not mix politics with religion, that there should be a separation of Church and State, that the church’s only concern is the spiritual aspect. If this is what we want, that only the spiritual aspect, then, when we enter the church and attend mass or pray, please leave your body at the entrance of the church and only your soul should enter and attend the Mass. I know it could not be. We do not ignore all these things. But Jesus denounced all these things in His lifetime, are we following Him and doing the same as He did?”
Sa aton pagpanaksi sa aton kabuhi sa aton pagtuo sa aton Ginoong Jesukristo, kita gina-agda sa paglakat sa dalan sa diin ginasikway naton ang kasal-anan kag kala-inan agud mangin matuod-tuod kita nga hilway sa pagbuhat sang kaayohan. Ayhan madamo sa ila ang magasiling: “Indi ina siya kahibalo MAGPAKISAMA! “ Ang minatu-od nga “samahan” wala nagapadulong sa kala-inan kundi sa KAAYOHAN kag sa KAMATUORAN. Amo ini ang nagapili kay Kristo nga UNA SA TANAN!...PAGPILI SANG INSAKTO!

OBITUARY
Our church was saddened to learn this week of the death of one of our most valued members, Someone Else.
For many, many years as a part of this church Someone Else did far more than a normal person’s share of the work. Whenever there was a job to do, a class to teach, or a meeting to attend, everybody said, “Let Someone Else do it.” Whenever leadership was mentioned, this wonderful person was looked to for inspiration as well as results; “Someone Else can work with that group.”
It was common knowledge that Someone Else was among the most generous givers. Whenever there was a financial need, everyone assumed Someone Else would make up the difference.
Now Someone Else is gone! We wonder what we are going to do. Someone Else left a wonderful example to follow, but who is going to follow it? Who is going to do the things Someone Else did?
When you are asked to help this year, remember — we can’t depend on Someone Else anymore.
